Do these go with my collar

So I was minding my own business today and hanging out in Samantha's room when she gets the idea to put these socks on me. I didn't mind wearing them too much however they are a little slippery on the hardwood floors. At least my foot pads have some traction.

New door

You want me to go through that thing, are you kidding? Miles has torn up the old screen door. We decided it was time to replace it with a new door. I also decided that I should add a doggie door as well. This is the new door. I am training Mile to go through it. He is catching on pretty quickly. I had to put one of those screen protectors on the new door. I also have the door locked at this point since Miles is used to running and bumping the old door open. Now he has to use his new door when he wants to go outside and come back onto the porch.

dustache

Hi it's me Samantha! Miles did something really funny the other day! He was under the bed and he came out with dust all over his mustache. I was like,"Hey Miles! You have a dusty mustache," Then I was like,"Dusty Musty!", then I said,"Hey Miles! You have a dustache!

Cool Miles

Miles is trying on the latest trend in fashion. We got some 3d glasses and Samantha and Ethan are putting these on. I think I look pretty cool with these on. Tho only problem is they are a little big so they won't stay on my head.

Just checking

The windows are open because the weather has been so nice lately. Of course I can hear the other dogs outside barking. It makes me run over to the window and either bark or whine a little because I would like to be outside. Plus everyone knows that you are supposed to challenge any or thing that comes into your yard. The good news is I am getting to spend more time outside and the back door is kept open on nice days. Now if  I could just get them to leave the front door open life would be great.

A dog can hope....

Gotta walk the humans

A Dogs work is never done!

A very nice morning for a walk, so much to see so much to smell, so many yards to pee in. I have to drag my humans around the neighborhood each morning. The bad thing is once you get them going they hate to stop and smell things. Don't they know that is the best part of the walk. You have to take time to stop and smell the roses to use one of their phrases.  I have to go and take a nap now. Being a dog is hard work.

Miles has learned a new trick. He can open the door to his crate. Including opening the latch and then nosing the door open. The kids think this is great fun! So far he hasn't done this from the inside. I predict it is only a matter of time before he learns how to get out.
Enjoy,

Pumpkin Dogs(help Me)

So, here I am dressed up as the great pumpkin. Everyone thought I looked so cute. I just couldn't wait to get out of this silly costume. Of course I wasn't the only one dressed up. The dog next door was dressed as a pumpkin too. It was bad enough that I had to wear this get up but then Sunshine had to go and copy me.

Hope you all had a nice safe Halloween. PS. Eat some candy for me.

My own space

I just thought I would share my space with the rest of you. I am crate trained and as much as I like laying about on the couch. It is nice to have your own space. I can go in here and be left alone. Some times when I get tired of the kids dressing me up (Don't ask, although they did take pictures so I am sure they will find there way here) I can go lay down and take another nap.
There is a stack of paintings behind my crate. I need to get the kids to change them out from time to time. Here is the link to the artist. Enjoy, Is it nap time again already.

Day at the Beach

This evening we went to the beach. I was all excited and the first thing I did was poop on the beach. Samantha was a doll and even cleaned it up for me. Then we headed down to the water. It was nice and calm no waves and just deep enough to swim in. Great fun was had by all. Even Samantha and Ethan were having fun.
This is me after getting out of the water, my fur is all wet and salty. The sand even sticks to you.
Well, I enjoyed the tidal pool so much we decided to go down to the ocean. The only thing about the ocean is the water chases you. Who knew that would happen?
This is a picture of me trying to avoid the waves. There was no way I was letting the kids drag me back near those waves.
We had a good time at the beach. I got to dig some and meet some new dogs. I did have to take 2 showers(what's up with that). They washed me off before letting me ride in the car and then as soon as we got home Emory took me in the back yard and give me another bath and even used soap. At least I finally got to take a nap before bed time.

Miles' new doo
Miles had his first haircut today. He picked out the Schnauzer style cut. And since it was summer he wanted it extra short.
This should be way cooler and he got a neckerchief to go with the trim.

You've got mail

Ok it is junk mail and it wasn't actually addressed to me but it had my name on it. It turns out it is a coupon for flea medicine, But it had my name on it. Even my vet sells my information. I am told it was a form letter but it had my name on it 6 times. At least that is what I was told as I can't actually read.

The Dog ate my homework

Who knew dogs were so good at math? Here Miles is showing Ethan and Samantha how to do algebra. Or he could be thinking let me have that book. I promise I will only chew on a few pages. Ok maybe just this corner, not even a whole page.
Note:
Miles has plenty of his own chew toys and is good about not chewing on things he isn't supposed to.

Well it seemed like a good idea

I wanted to see what was up on the bar so Samantha put me up on the stool. I was able to see everything up on the breakfast bar. But then I realized I had another problem....
It is sure a long way down..........

Swimming lessons

Swimming lessons?
Samantha and Chole decided that they were going to give Miles swimming lessons. They proceeded to fill the bath tub with water and let him play in the water. Then they held him up slightly and he was moving his feet like he was swimming. Of course everyone involved got wet. We had to wash 4 towels, mop the floor and wash and dry the rugs. The good news is miles doesn't mind taking baths. In this picture he looks like a drowned rat.

Mowing the lawn

Today, Emory went into the shed in the back yard and got out this weird looking thingy. It smelled like old grass. Then he went and pulled on this rope thing with a handle on it. The next thing I knew it was making an awful racket. It scared me so much I ran all the way back into the house. I knew the kids would keep me safe from this contraption. After a while Ethan put me on my leash and took me out in the front yard. Emory was still pushing this thing around in circles and cutting the grass. Other then the noise this makes it easier to run around in the yard. You aren't getting me too close to this thing though!!!

Guard Duty

This is Miles reporting for duty. I am sitting on the back steps over looking the backyard. From my vantage point I am able to see almost the whole backyard. I have a nice comfortable rug to sit on and I have my trusty chew rope in case I need to chew on something. For some reason my owners don't want me to chew on these rugs that they leave on the floor around the house.

Going for a walk

This is me taking my humans Samantha and Ethan for a walk. We walked about a mile this morning. It was a nice spring morning with so many smells. The kids do a good job of walking me.

This is me trying to get a look at the guy taking my picture. Maybe if I am good he will let me play with the camera. Anyway it was a nice morning for a walk out and about the neighborhood. I like walking with my owners.

Outside again

Today they let me play outside for quite a while. I got to explore the back yard in great detail. So much to see. So much to do. Here I am laying in the grass chewing on a stick. As you can see I keep pretty busy. This morning I took Emory and the kids for a long walk. I was checking out this red thing. I have no idea what it is used for. Maybe I can get the kids to show me how it works. I can't wait!

Miles goes for his first visit to the vet

Miles was given a clean bill of health today from the vet. They checked his stitches and took his temperature and a stool sample. Miles didn't much care for that but he tolerated it. He now weighs 7 whole pounds. They gave us some more food and a training book and some information. I told the kids there will be a test later.
